Put safety first with ServSafe from Sysco INGENIUM

As a sponsor of the Industry Council on Food Safety, Sysco Corporation is committed to food safety through training and education. Sysco also joins other major industry organizations to sponsor ServSafe, a food safety training program developed by The Education Foundation of the National Restaurant Association.

 

ServSafe is the industry's undisputed leader in food service sanitation training and meets the requirements of most all local, county and state health departments.

 

Sysco's certified instructors provide training courses periodically for our customers. Attendees are trained and tested for certification in the ServSafe Serving Safe Food Certification Course.

 

Topics covered in the course

Identifying potentially hazardous foods, common errors in food handling, personal hygiene, flow of food through an operation HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), proper food handling techniques, cleaning and sanitizing, pest control, etc.

Upcoming ServSafe Classes

ServSafe has been approved for continuing education credits by the ADA, ASFSA, DMA and ACF. Sysco customers may contact the FRLA to schedule ServSafe training at 1-888-372-9119.
